Songs of hope, burning wound closest to the sun. A touch of ice cherishes the innermost thoughts of midday heat. Frozen, shallow breath. Timid rhythms bloom with many-colored silence. Another chromatic step from the ashes - to speech, from midnight - to the word.

An uninterested play of thought gives rise to diamond sparks and flickering phosphenous strokes; it fades for a moment, retreats in imaginary fatigue, to appear again as motley waves, cherishing, cradling all shades - from furious red to dazzling azure.

Twenty piano improvisations/sound poems in the spirit of abstract impressionism by Moscow-based self-taught multi-instrumentalist and improviser/composer Yuri Vinogradov. The journey through the meager suprematic plains in search of color.

Yuri writes: "These improvisations express my hungry sense of precious and unguaranteed freedom that grows through all the patterns, regularities, determinations, they are about the spirit of joy that breathes wherever it wants. This album includes records from 2019-2020, created for various reasons, in a different manner. The common thing for them - balancing on the verge of atonality and structurality - is the feeling of thin, frosty air penetrated by the cold light of the many-eyed night winter sky, melancholy, melting away hope, notifying not loss, but gaining".
