The mystical is not how the world is but that it is. So even in the world of atheist mystical experience is possible. It is the experience of powerful presence, experience of world being - undescriptable, undeniable, undoubted. This music is the musical description of such profound but possible for everyone experience.

Sartre wrote that there is no revelation. It is us who define something as the transcendent sign. So everything even the meanest things ("Yes, Socrates, said Parmenides; that is because you are still young; the time will come, if I am not mistaken, when philosophy will have a firmer grasp of you, and then you will not despise even the meanest things". Plato, 'Parmenides') could be the the signs of the world as the Wholeness and the One, sign of Being itself. So everything can be the source of mystical experience.

From the musical point 'Insula Lucis' is a kind of commentary to the Olivier Messiaen piece 'Apparition de l'église éternelle' ('Apparition of the Eternal Church').
